The Institute facilitates an engaging programme of events for mental health professionals, which will be of particular interest to psychotherapists, counsellors, clinical psychologists, creative arts therapists, and social workers.
Whilst access to clinical meetings is restricted to clinicians, the Institute also hosts a number of accessible events for both mental health practitioners and members of the public with an interest in psychoanalytic thinking. Within a friendly and welcoming group setting, participants engage creatively and playfully with cultural objects - with both film and literature providing very helpful ways of thinking about character formation, internal conflicts, unconscious motivation, inner feelings, and underlying psychodynamics from a variety of psychoanalytic perspectives.
New members are always very welcome to join us at these meetings.
